theo williams (D.MA, B.DIAC) travels internationally as a recognized expert in the art of mime and arts theology. Known for his excellence in performance, directing and choreography, Theo brings a vivid and original vision on the arts. As Principal Teacher and Director of Innovo's Conservatory of Physical Theatre, Theo is a desired teacher and arts clinician. Theo was mentored by Todd & Marilyn Farley, and has received training from Yvan Bacciochi, Guerassim Dichliev, and the world famous Marcel Marceau, who acknowledged Theo as "the Future of Mime". Theo has worked with other artists such as Robert Stearns, Steve Fry, Paul Wilbur, Vivian Hibbert, Yvonne Peters, Melea Brock, and Liz Dimmel. He grew up in South Africa where he received a Shodan (black belt) in the art of Karate and graduated from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in Social Work, with a minor in Psychology. Theo is now studying for his Doctorate in Worship Studies at the Robert E. Webber Institute of Worship Studies. As Executive Director of Innovo, Master of mime and Ordained Minister he travels worldwide, leading troupes, performing and teaching as far as God calls him.
jolie williams (D.MA, M.WS) known for her excellence in choreography, storytelling,
and strong performance is an Executive Director of Innovo and Principle
Teacher of Innovo's Conservatory of Physical Theatre. At a young age
Jolie began pursuing dance in worship and choreographed numbers for her
church. Having completed her Masters, Jolie is now studying for her
Doctorate in Worship Studies at the Robert E. Webber Institute of
Worship Studies in Florida. She brings an informed view on the arts in
worship as an educator, speaker and beloved performer. With skill in
improvisation and choreography, Jolie offers a full show including
original music and stories. Trained by revered mime artists Todd &
Marilyn Farley and the legendary Marcel Marceau, Jolie was mentored by
Marilyn and personally invited by Marceau to study in Paris, France.
Experienced with missions (DTS, Youth With a Mission), she has assisted
many teams in Mexico, Guatemala and the Philippines. She and her
husband Theo tour and lead tours across the globe as Masters of mime
and Ordained Ministers.
anny escaño - ruiz was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Anny has taught movement
arts throughout Central America and the USA. Anny has received
extensive training from revered artists, including Theo & Jolie
Williams and Thomas Leabhart. In 2002, Anny and her husband Rommel
founded "In Silence International", producing theatrical events
including Exodo and Cuerpo & Alma. Graduate of the Universidad
Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) in Advertising, Anny served as Art
Director for recognized companies and agencies in the Dominican
Republic. In July 2008 Anny graduated from Innovo's Conservatory, now
working alongside her husband Rommel as graphic artist for Innovo
Grafika and member of Innovo's Company.
rommel ruiz was raised in Dominican Republic (DR), Rommel was intrinsically drawn
to the arts from a young age. Trained under many masters artists,
Rommel currently studies with Innovo's Conservatory of Physical
Theatre. As founder of "In Silence International", he has toured
throughout Central America and directed theatrical events such as Exodo
and Humanity at the National Theatre in Dominican Republic. Rommel has
taught mime at schools of dance throughout the DR, including the School
of Dramatic Arts. Graduate of Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in
Advertising, Rommel serves as creative director of Innovo Grafika and
member of Innovo's Company.
